Duties will include preparing baked goods and other foods served in the restaurant. The applicant must be able to skillfully make and design baked goods.
The applicant must be capable of working as a line cook, and in other kitchen positions as needed. Must be able to organize and otherwise ensure that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
The applicant must be able to manage time efficiently, think critically to solve problems, and must have familiarity with the cooking techniques and materials used in the restaurant.
Applicant must be able to lift at least 25 pounds, and must be able to load and unload supplies that are shipped to the restaurant.
The applicant must live or be willing to relocate to Fire Island. Fire Island is only accessible by ferry, and the hours required for this position are not compatible with a daily commute from off the island.
